Comparison Websites
You will all have seen a lot of TV advertising recently for comparison websites and in particular GoCompare.com and CompareTheMarket.com, today we received communication from the agency that handle CompareTheMarket.com, this is what they said....
Commission on the comparethemarket.com programme is to be reduced for cashback/loyalty sites from the 26th August. Unfortunately comparethemarket.com are reducing the commission rate from 80p to 50p
As a result we immediately took the decision to remove CompareTheMarket.com and all similar sites from Ei42 as we no longer believe they are beneficial to our members.
When you use a comparison website to find a product and subsequently buy a product for example “Car Insurance” then the price comparison website earn the commission from the insurance company and not you. So if you have used one of the above websites and searched for and then purchased car insurance you probably received just a few pence. If instead you had purchased directly from a car insurance company on Ei42 the commission would be substantially more.

This week one of our members ‘Phil Selwood’ sent me an email saying how excited he was becoming about Christmas 2008 because of Ei42. I must confess that as I get older I find it pretty difficult to get excited about Christmas these days but Phil does have a point when he suggested I send this to you all.....

Thanks for that Phil, in my opinion you can work those figures dozens of ways but the truth is that even if you personally spent £100 for Christmas and you had JUST 70 people in your power 7 spending just £100 each you’d personally spend £100 and get about £150 profit share so don’t miss out on a fantastic opportunity. Tell everyone you know while you are out enjoying yourself this Bank Holiday weekend.
Country Expansions
We are in the final stages of our testing for our expansion beyond the UK. That’s right! Ei42 will be available to your friends internationally shortly. Please DO NOT encourage your friends in other countries to join just yet though as it will work against them if they do. Currently Ei42 is for UK residents only and if your friends join the Ei42 network in the UK they will not be able to join in their own countries. In addition their base currency will be GBP and NOT their own countries currency. We anticipate that we will launch the first new country in about 8 weeks which will still leave plenty of time to benefit from Christmas 2008. You might also like to know that we plan to launch at least 6 new countries within the next 6 months.
